To this end, we are seeking an experienced Business Developer (Outsourcing) who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.

About the position

The Position

You will work closely with the Partnership & Integration Director to grow a new department aimed at building a solid network of vendors to support the company projects and growth. This will encompass both building trust relationships with the external partners and internal teams as well as implementing new systems to deliver the best service possible while measuring its effectiveness. It is a great opportunity to start a career in the games industry and build a worldwide network of relationships.

You are a fresh graduate or young professional passionate about games and game development. You desire to work in an international fast-paced environment with innovation and professionalism where innovation and initiative are celebrated. You love to solve problems and are curious by nature, constantly seeking different perspectives and working to disconfirm your beliefs. You enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, learning new things, are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and relish both building relationships and finding smart ways to optimize products, services or workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Help grow the network of vendors by identifying and contacting potential partners. Understand their strengths to make the best use of their services, and grow the usage of partners throughout Virtuos. Be a key point of contact in the relationship and through the establishment of contracts.
  • Facilitate good collaboration and feedback between production teams and outsource partners.
  • Manage, retain and grow existing engagements with partners, ensuring their profitability.
  • Gather feedback from internal teams and partners for analysis and creation of action plans.
  • Identify and report on potential risks in production and suggest mitigation plans.
  • Support on the definition and set up of internal workflows, processes and systems for partners management.

Qualifications

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a wide variety of people and skillsets both inside and outside of the development studio while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and convey them clearly and logically to others.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Demonstrable competence in problem-solving, with an ability to overcome any resistance, setbacks, and obstacles that may arise.
  • General knowledge of the video games industry required.
  • Knowledge of video game production pipelines and mastery of Chinese languages are strong plusses.
  • Position open to fresh graduates and candidates with up to 5 years experience in the games industry or in a role with related skillset.
