To this end, we are seeking an experienced IT Operating Director of Europe and North America who can join our team and help pave the way towards our new goals.

About the position

We are looking for IT Operating Director who will lead 6-10 members of IT team in 4 studios in Europe and 3 studios in North America. The position will also help Virtuos put in place the right IT organization to support the long-term strategy to grow and integrate the studios in Europe and North America from 250 staff to 500 staff in three years.

With the position's leadership, the IT teams need to deliver high quality IT services, zero tolerance security services and company integration services for current and new studios.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic planning efforts for the IT discipline, ensuring that IT programs and initiatives align to the IT roadmap, business objectives and strategies.
  • Develop, track and manage annual IT budgets, including capital investments required in the region.
  • Participate in developing IT strategy and vision that significantly contributes to business growth, profitability and productivity, etc.
  • Manage the IT teams in Europe and North America regions, including 6 to 10 team members.
  • Accountable for ensuring smooth IT operations, including server, network, application, cloud management. Drive the user satisfaction of helpdesk processes and deliver IT services and security measures.
  • Assure the proposed IT solutions are built with exceptional user experience while being compliant and cyber-secured following both company policy and local laws and regulations.
  • Act as the escalation point for all critical IT issues, IT security incidents.
  • Collaborate closely with local and global IT teams to manage the infrastructure and IT operation, to ensure the stabilization of hardware, software and systems.
  • Collaborate with other divisions and departments to deliver IT training and IT audits.
  • Communicate system and process changes verbally and in written documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including at least five years in a management role.
  • Experience with a large scale, geographic crossing and multi unit organization, game or software industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of key information technology solutions and practices, experience with sourcing IT solutions and implementing IT projects.
  • Substantial experience with servers (Windows and/or Linux), virtualization, storage, network and cloud environments.
  • Solid knowledge of compliance frameworks for cybersecurity, e.g. ISO27001, NIST.
  • Liaising with studios and divisions to scope and address their IT needs and requirements.
  • Experience with budget planning and delivering IT performance/security/cost reports.
  • Good communication and can work with the global team. Demonstrated leadership and management style, able to motivate others.
  • Ability to frequently travel to the other Virtuos studios in Europe and United States when required.
