Video Games Deluxe is a dynamic team based in Sydney, Australia. Recently we have completed the multi- platform release “L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files” and are currently developing an exciting new project. We are eager to expand our team and have the following position available. Video Games Deluxe has worked exclusively for Rockstar Games since 2013.
Job Description
Video Games Deluxe is seeking to expand our design department. You will be working with other members of the design team, taking responsibility for systems and mission design in an open world AAA VR project.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with multiple departments and studios to create and/or extend our systems and tools.
- Work closely with members of the design team as well as other departments to develop fun and exciting VR mission scripting
- Take on board feedback from the studio manager, senior designers, and publishers. Be flexible and adaptive with designs based on feedback.
- Have an up-to-date knowledge with current titles, as well as a keen interest in VR as a medium.
- Write clear and concise documentation to communicate ideas to other team members and support studios.
- Provide clear and detailed reports of bugs to design and other teams.
Qualifications
- A Computer Science or Game Design degree with a programming focus is considered an advantage. However, relevant experience is taken into consideration.

- Excellent communication, technical & problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with proven ability to deliver on deadlines.
- Candidates must be highly motivated, positive, and personable, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Adaptable and ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on changing schedules and feedback/critiques with a detail-obsessed eye for quality.
Desired
- 2+ years’ industry experience in a designer role.
- Credited on at least 1 published title.
- Experience in Unreal or other game engine packages.
- A demonstrable track record of quality in previous work
