Your Mission

As a Senior Weapons Artist, you will model and texture industry-leading assets. This is a senior-level role and pivotal to the creation of our stunning visuals for our AAA titles. A successful candidate is an Artist who is passionate about weapons creation and has the talent and skill to match that love, while being a total team player.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities

  • Create visually appealing, realistic 3D models based on concept art and photo reference.
  • Create weapons, attachments, and equipment at the highest quality for in-game and promotional uses, through Modelling, Texturing, or Designing.
  • Rig and implement assets into the game.
  • Collaborate with Artists, Animators, and Designers to ensure the best player experience.
  • Work within budgets while hitting key timelines.
  • Troubleshoot technical and artistic issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, production, and management to ensure that project goals and deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate software, tech and tools to help identify opportunities for pipeline improvement.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working within game development.
  • Highly proficient in hard surface modeling.
  • Excellent abilities in photo-realistic texturing and surfacing work.
  • Exceptional visual and technical understanding of 3D modeling and texturing.
  • Good eye for color and tonal balance, and graphic design.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical function and purpose.
  • Excellent working knowledge of industry standard 3D and image editing programs.
  • Ability to receive, give, and apply feedback effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Capable of self-management; able to identify priorities and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Must be willing to go above and beyond whats expected to ensure the absolute best quality is achieved.
  • Meticulous and detail oriented, keeping your work clean and tidy.
  • Strong background in traditional art skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, both creatively and technically.
  • Self-driven, dedicated to advancing your craft, and eager to learn new techniques and software.

Extra Points

  • Two or more shipped AAA titles.
  • Expert knowledge in Maya or 3ds Max and Substance Painter.
  • Outstanding knowledge of weapons and equipment, with an eye for authenticity.
  • Experience working with game engines.
