Viacom18 has incubated a new business line to engage with the eSports and Gaming audience across TV, Digital and Live Events. We have live-streamed eSports matches for key events and brought the worlds largest gaming festival (Dreamhack) to India for the first time. Viacom18 is now looking to scale up its eSports and Gaming and deeply engage with the eSports / Gaming audience in India.

The eSports and Gaming team will conceptualize, develop and monetize new on-ground properties, create clutter breaking eSports and Gaming content across Viacom18’s TV and Digital platforms as well as develop new business partnerships in the eSports/Gaming ecosystem. This team will work closely with other Business Units and Functions of Viacom18 to ensure consistent high quality experiences for Viacom18’s eSports consumer.

Key Accountabilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Identify and generate new clients by mapping plotting brand to generate a strong sales pipeline
  • Proactively reach out and form healthy working relationships with the clients
  • Develop open and effective channels of communication with each client to provide regular updates on the progress campaigns
  • Demonstrate commitment to client relationship by anticipating and responding promptly to client needs

Client Solutioning

  • Ideate on client solutions/integrations and liaison across internal teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions
  • Ideate and pitch solutions across various platforms that integrate client needs with eSports deliverables
  • Collaborate with multiple departments (Operations, Digital, TV) internally to ensure efficient execution of client deliverables

Sales Management

  • Maximize sponsorship and advertising value of eSports properties
  • Ensure that collections are done in a timely manner with close review and monitoring
  • Ensure delivery of sales goals against timelines and planned revenue
  • Identify opportunities for sales process improvement on a proactive basis and facilitate the same

Skills & Competencies

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in advertising and sponsorship sales, preferably oriented toward Niche categories and events
  • MBA Preferred
  • Must have a personal interest in eSports and Gaming
  • Pro-actively takes initiative and Results oriented
  • Analytical thinking and decisiveness
  • Strategic thinking and strong orientation towards data-driven decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to align diverse stakeholders towards a common goal
  • Action oriented, can-do attitude with solid crisis management skills
  • Detailed oriented and organized
