Viacom18 has incubated a new business line to engage with the eSports and Gaming audience across TV, Digital and Live Events. We have live-streamed eSports matches for key events and brought the worlds largest gaming festival (Dreamhack) to India for the first time. Viacom18 is now looking to scale up its eSports and Gaming and deeply engage with the eSports / Gaming audience in India.

The eSports and Gaming team will conceptualize, develop and execute new on-ground properties, create clutter breaking eSports and Gaming content across Viacom18’s TV and Digital platforms as well as develop new business partnerships in the eSports/Gaming ecosystem. This team will work closely with other Business Units and Functions of Viacom18 to ensure consistent high quality experiences for Viacom18’s eSports consumer.

Key Accountabilities

Marketing

  • Provide thought leadership in development of long range marketing plans and marketing strategy.
  • Build brand architecture for Viacom18’s eSports play, articulate brand affinity with consumers, develop and implement brand guidelines in all communication.
  • Ideate and develop innovative marketing concepts and pitches.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns through effective marketing planning and media mix (radio, TV, online, print, on ground)
  • Develop effective marketing tie ups and alliances to build reach and save marketing costs by creating alliances that are meaningful to the brand and the partner.
  • Roll out trade marketing campaigns and ensure effective brand image for trade by consistent communication
  • Develop impactful client integrations in creative communication and marketing campaigns that maximize client satisfaction.
  • Manage vendors and creative agencies for execution of marketing deliverables
  • Oversee vendor quotes, contracts, negotiations, cost closures and vendor payments
  • Optimize costs and manage marketing budgets to maximise ROI

Market Research

  • Monitor and regularly review market trends, marketing innovations and competitive data and design proactive marketing campaigns basis the same.
  • Gather timely consumer insights and analysis of consumer preferences by conducting and participating in consumer research studies in eSports and Gaming

Team Management

  • Build and mentor a high quality marketing team in line with the eSports Budget/Long Range Plan
