VENN is a premiere entertainment studio for the wide-ranging interests of gaming. Launched in August 2020 and producing content from Vista Studios in Los Angeles, VENN offers original programming produced in-house and in partnership with some of the biggest names and creators across gaming, pop-culture and other related lifestyle spaces. ABOUT THE ROLE

The VENN Team is looking for a full-time social media manager to lead cross-team efforts on our core gamer social channels. CORE GAMER KNOWLEDGE IS A MUST, as you will need to have a strong understanding of the content, brand voice and community engagement approach within the core gaming community. If you love gaming and producing digital content, then the opportunities for growth here at VENN are endless.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Create and manage all daily posting calendars for Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
  • Work closely alongside creative and strategy teams to develop and actively pitch original social concepts.
  • Post on all platforms.
  • Write all social copy - emphasis on Twitter. You will own and run the Twitter account on a daily basis. A strong understanding of the brand voice and the core gamer community is essential to fast, on-the-fly Twitter content.
  • Heavy community management across Twitter and Instagram.
  • Track weekly high level analytics in an ongoing data tracking template.
  • Work closely with YouTube and social strategy teams to support coordination, planning and social execution of ongoing YouTube promotion.
  • Work with creative and social strategy teams to support coordination, planning and social execution of larger creative campaigns and brand efforts.
  • Stay up-to-speed on best platform practices and changes in the social media space.

SKILLS

  • Core gamer knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of all major social media platforms and how to operate them proficiently.
  • Strong social copywriting skills.
  • Highly organized planner and efficient communicator.
  • Flexible, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with intuitive understanding of what works on social media

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of social media management experience on a major brand or media account.
  • Bachelors degree in media, marketing or another related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and how to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong understanding of how to plan and collaborate through major social planning platforms like hootsuite.
  • Experience managing relationships with external and internal agencies/design teams to brief and manage original content.
  • Deep understanding of how paid and organic content and strategies work together.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional experience working at a gaming company or on gaming accounts in previous agency experience.
