POSITION SUMMARY:

Committed to service excellence, the Account Executive is responsible for meeting and exceeding the ongoing commitments and contractual details that occur from the commencement of the partner relationship to the expiry of the agreement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and activate corporate partner accounts for eSports franchise, the Vancouver Titans of the Overwatch League (OWL)
  • Understand, track, and meet agreed upon key performance indicators for each partner program and in turn articulate these to internal stakeholders
  • Create and manage varied eSports marketing strategies, from small scale to large scale
  • Implement, in conjunction with our partners and internal departments, a wide range of promotional opportunities including in-market and social media activations and activations around Titans homestands
  • Research eSports activations in the OWL and other relevant eSports events to learn how to improve our sponsorship assets
  • Ideate activation opportunities for homestand weekends
  • Execute client hospitality requests, meetings, and player meet and greets
  • Work on Nielsen reporting and analysis of data for Corporate Partnerships
  • Execute partner requirements at each Watch Party held throughout the season
  • Work with the CRM and inventory management tools such as Wrike
  • Work Titans homestands and in-market activations as assigned
  • Assist with the creation of new partnership sales proposals and help identify new opportunities for existing partners
  • Report back to each partner throughout season on how their activations are performing against agreed upon targets
  • Set up annual meetings in conjunction with directors on specific secondary accounts to review all marketing plans for the next fiscal year and review previous seasons results
  • Work on various specific programs with the Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing
  • Potential crossover opportunities with other CSE teams – Canucks & Warriors as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the area of sponsorship activation, promotions and marketing, preferably within an advertising agency environment or professional eSports/sports team
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a degree or diploma in business administration or marketing
  • Familiarity with all major social platforms (Twitch, Mixer, Steam, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube)
  • Positive team spirit, professionalism and exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, management, clientele, suppliers, and partners
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize
  • Both successful and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, start-up environment
  • Strong knowledge of Paid Social and Digital Marketing
  • Have a passion for video gaming and eSports with a focus on Overwatch
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, conferences, and/or promotions
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
