About The Role
The development team is in charge of development of our platform, revolutionizing the way creators monetize their communities, and helping bring ideas from top creators to market. Our solutions are used by some of the largest creators on Twitch and YouTube and encompass our vision of what the content creator economy can become.
The chief technology officer (CTO) will fulfill the role of technical co-founder, directing all company technology architecture and resources, spearheading the greenfield development of the platform. The CTO will establish company technology vision, strategies, and plans for growth. They will supervise the system and quality assurance processes. The CTO will focus on maintaining and improving all technological issues in the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s technological development
- Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical and web services
- Collaborating with department heads as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
- Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
- Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
- Establishing and improving software development processes
- Mentoring team members and growing our development team
- Reviewing timeframes and budgets
- Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
- Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
- Studying current and new industry trends and technologies
- Ensuring the company’s technological processes and services comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
- Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture
- Researching and advising on implementation of third party software services
- Managing a global team of engineers working through multiple timezones, both fulltime and outsourced resources
Requirements and Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in a software development role, information technology role, or related field; 5+ years in management or leadership role
- Experience building a marketplace where users can both buy and sell
- Experience with technology relative to industry: Python, Nodejs, React, PHP, Ruby, GO, or other technologies. Prior experience in Solidity is a plus
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers
- Able to architect with a deep knowledge of web technologies
- Able to be a “big picture” thinker
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience in blockchain / cryptocurrency industry
- Interest in the gaming influencer and streaming market
