We are looking for a power editor who hits the trifecta! Do you have a voice made for radio, and an artistic knack for editing buzz-worthy videos, a love for writing all things related to video games? If so, then this is the ideal role for you!

Valnet is looking to expand our YouTube Department, and we are interested in hiring a Power Editor for one of our Channels called TheGamer!

In this unique and multi-faceted position, you will be expected to wear the hats of both a video editor and an off camera host. If you are a hardcore gamer and are up for the challenge, you will be responsible for adapting articles into scripts, shooting, writing, and editing news stories and videos on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify trending articles using Google analytics.
• Record, shoot, write, edit video game stories and compose graphics within assigned deadlines.
• We will need 2-3 videos a week.
• Research visuals that will be used in the videos using the internet and other media sources.
• Write and edit news stories using editing software such as Premiere, Final Cut, Photoshop and After effects.
• Create entertaining videos for coverage, demonstrating energy, confidence, professional appearance and voice quality.
• Possibility of having to record gameplay when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of Fortnite and other popular video games
• Demo reel of video editing
• Example of written work
• Expected to produce the videos from home or have access to a green screen studio where you can produce the videos at any time.
