Job Title: Fashion and/or Graphic Designer for Esports Jersey/Apparel Designs
Contract: Freelance
Level: Intermediate (2+ Years Exp)
Salary Range: TBD based on quote and experience
USC Esports Union (ESU) is the officially recognized esports organization for the University of Southern California (USC)! Founded in 2018, the ESU has been supporting both club and varsity efforts to make gaming a healthy pillar of campus culture. ESU is currently looking for a talented and ambitious freelance fashion and/or graphic designer to create first and foremost to explore potentially redesigning our official jersey and—with success—designing other apparel.
Description:
ESU is seeking a Designer who can partner with us and explore a imaginative jersey design as well as, afterward, a potential an apparel line to follow in the long term.
Requirements for the Design:
- Represent USC from a branding perspective, primarily by using our school's colors (cardinal and gold, mixed in with black/white/neutral colors as needed).
- Create a Jersey that stands out from the rest of the esports jersey designs in the space, collegiate or otherwise.
- Minimize design elements on the back/middle, as they'll be saved for sponsors - we DEFINITELY want design elements in the back, but we may need them tweaked as sponsors come onboard
- Based on a solid jersey redesign, work with ESU on additional items (apparel, primarily).
To interested applicants, please respond with:
- A link to your online portfolio of prior fashion and/or graphic design work
- A rough cost and turnaround time estimate to deliver front and back vector designs
- A VERY rough estimate on how much it would then be to make a final, detailed design would be to deliver (a range is fine)
This is for experienced designers only – you don’t need to have worked on Esports jerseys in the past, but we do require some actual graphic design experience.
When we have enough submissions, we will deploy the options as part of a survey with our players and staff and get their feedback and then proceed with the final design stage.
Thanks for your interest and Fight On!
