Description
The Interdisciplinary Studies Program at the University of Houston-Downtown seeks qualified adjunct instructors to teach Esports online courses BSIS 4390.05; Esports and the Gaming Industry, BSIS 4390.06; Esports Media and Communication, BSIS 4390.07; Esports Emerging Trends and Opportunities, BSIS 4390.08; Esports Project Management: Live Event Programming. Candidates should have working knowledge of marketing and/or production in esports, familiarity with industry trends and with current hardware and software to optimize broadcasts. Desirable experience includes a deep knowledge of the esports and gaming industry, production studios, and game publishers and developers. The candidate must plan and create course syllabi; provide quality instruction and guidance in an online environment; follow institutional guidelines; evaluate student performance; maintain a positive educational environment in the online classroom, etc.

- Candidates must hold a Master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 18 hours of graduate course work in the particular discipline area is preferred.
- Experience teaching online courses is preferred.
