The Unity for Humanity program supports our change making creators with production support, awareness campaigns and engages Unity employees to help develop impactful, purpose driven made with Unity content and solutions. The Unity for Humanity Program internship will provide an opportunity to dive deep into the RT3D creator community and social impact driven work built with Unity.
As the program’s intern, you will help in the review of project submissions, gaining insight into key players in the industry and how projects are currently structured, funded and produced. In addition, you will meet and interface with key RT3D social impact industry leaders and creators and support them in the lead up to the annual Unity for Humanity Summit. The intern will also gain insight into how creators are using Unity and how they are overcoming technical challenges. Researching and interviewing creators working on social impact driven content in Unity will be part of this role, and will help to grow our community.
You are extremely motivated, detailed and a master at organization. You thrive on team-work and collaboration, with strong communication skills. You excel at research and are passionate about the creator community. Your work will also contribute to identifying our 2021 grant recipients.
You possess a belief that corporate responsibility can have a positive social, environmental, and economic impact for both the company and society, and that creators are our change-makers.
You will be working with a growing, high visibility team at Unity and be a part of executing on an impactful support program.
Responsibilities
- Researching and interviewing social impact creators
- Reviewing grant submissions to help identify key projects for support
- Outreach and coordination to support the Unity for Humanity Summit 2021
- Assisting in organizing the program’s creator outreach and communications, communicating with key industry players
Requirements
- Experience or interest in program or project management and coordination and RT3D production.
- Experience working within a remote team
- Knowledge or keen interest in learning about the Unity RT3D creator community (including games, film & XR)
- Ability to review RT3D content submissions and identify strong program candidates
- Motivated self-starter who has strong research skills
- Experience with Spreadsheets (Excel, Airtable)
Bonus Points
- Experience working or volunteering at a not for profit or within social impact organizations
- Experience in grant writing
- RT3D experience or knowledge including a strong understanding of the industry and/or production
- Strong communication, presentation and writing skills for both internal and external communications
- Ability to identify bold projects that push the boundaries of social impact technology
