The opportunity

The Unity Hub team is the curtain-raiser for the Unity editor, services, and resources, where we are helping millions of game and real-time 3D developers make outstanding and innovative things. Built in Electron, using Typescript and React, the Hub helps users find, download, and manage Unity installations and projects, as well as connecting and extending a wide range of Unity services to the user.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to take a Technical Leadership role within the Creator Experience group, with a particular focus on the Unity Hub. You will bring your wealth of experience and expertise as a Technical Leader to foster the maturity and robustness of our software, evolve our technology vision for the future, and guide the growth path of the team. Working closely with local and distributed team members, as well as with Unity teams globally, you will help bring the Unity ecosystem closer to the editor and provide an outstanding initial experience to the users.

What you’ll be doing

  • Take a leading role in all aspects of the software development for Unity Hub
  • Propose, champion, and implement technical solutions, architecture, and methodologies
  • Collaborate with multi-region teams in the development and maintenance of an application with more than a million users
  • Foster technical growth of our product and people

What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience with JavaScript and Node.js
  • Experience building and interacting with APIs in a cloud-based environment
  • Comfortable improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines following DevOps methodologies
  • Ability and eagerness to share and apply your knowledge
  • Deep understanding and experience in software development, agile and standard methodologies (continuous integration, source control management, code reviews)

You might also have

  • Electron, Typescript and/or C# development experience
  • Strong experience with the latest ECMAScript standards
  • Experience with Frontend frameworks like React or Angular
