Role description
Using our industry-leading game engine, we are building a whole new line of products and services centered around running massively scaled simulations in the cloud. What we build will impact multiple industries such as Game operations, Robotics, and Autonomous Vehicles and contribute to the advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
Our team is multiplying. We seek a technical program manager with strong product and program management experience in managing ground-up initiatives. This role involves working closely with business owners, product managers, engineering, and other technical teams across the organization to define requirements, identify dependencies, and manage timelines. At the core of the position is excellence in planning and execution. It involves regular communication with senior management and partners on roadmaps, progress, risks, and change control.
You should also be somebody who is effective at using data to drive the creation of processes and tools and is relentless in seeking measured improvement. Working closely with and across agile teams, you will be able to see and feel the impact of your contributions on all of our customers. Your work will change how Unity will be used in the world of simulation-based testing and training!
Responsibilities
- Work with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed and creative solutions to complex problems while keeping a watchful eye on dependencies, timelines, and customer experience
- Manage and coordinate critical activities such as new launches, capacity planning, customer feedback and escalations, and business development activities
- Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles
- Compute, manage, and drive critical metrics essential for operational and business level excellence of the project, and provide visibility to all stakeholders via well-structured reports
- Manage multiple aspects of Industrial Simulation projects, including operational performance and customer experience
Requirements
- Strong leader who can prioritize well and who understands how to drive focus
- Excellent organizational skills and project tracking abilities; experience in agile software development methodologies, relentless focus, and attention to detail; the ability to work in a very fast-paced and energetic team
- Ability to succeed and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities
- Experience building processes, project management, and working with development and operation teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the company
Bonus Points
- Experience launching multiple Products and Programs
- Experience working with or building data platforms and ML training pipelines
- Experience with Unity Engine, 3D simulators, game development, and graphics
- Experience working with remote teams
- Experience as a software developer, or equivalent experience to demonstrate technical design expertise and understanding of the developer experience
