The opportunity
Unity’s Montreal studio is currently expanding its software development team, with the goal to extend Unity’s success within the automotive, transportation and wider manufacturing industries (ATM). You will be working on the Forma suite, one of our flagship products, supporting the team to produce crucial features to meet specific industry needs.
We are looking for a skilled software developer with a passion for quality who empowers your development team to deliver high quality software in a scalable and efficient way. You can work alongside developers to build efficient tests for low-level code and create test strategies and approaches for a variety of features. You are actively involved in driving for a balance between automated and manual tests, and in ensuring tools and processes are in place to continuously improve quality.
You also have a knack for always running into corner cases in APIs, or finding issues in things that should “just work.” You know the importance of writing maintainable and well-tested code, as well as the pain if you don’t plan for testing from the beginning. If you want to put those skills to use in creating tools for this new industry, you have looked at the right job!
What you’ll be doing
- Influence and guide the development team towards continuous improvement and higher quality
- Grow and improve our automated tests, framework and infrastructure
- Collaborate with the development teams to ensure the delivery of great software across multiple platforms
What we’re looking for
- C# skills
- Problem solver with a natural investigative ability to seek the best solution, not the fastest
- Experience as an automation specialist, developing and executing testing plans for large complex software projects
- Experience with Unity platform or other Real Time 3D engine.
- Experience in performance, code analysis, and debugging tools
You might also have
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Development tools experience
- Experience with Cloud technologies
