Unity’s Montreal studio is expanding its team with the goal to extend Unity’s success within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. Part of this work will be supporting the implementation of essential Unity features to meet specific industry needs. You will be working in a multi-functional team of talented individuals and will be communicating with developers in other teams around the world.

The Opportunity

You’re a skilled software developer who can help us craft high quality and high-performance tools. You can work with other developers to create efficient tests for low-level code, even implement some fixes yourself. You like moving fast, but making sure we catch things before they break.

You also have a knack for always running into corner cases in APIs, or finding issues in things that should “just work.” You know the importance of writing maintainable and well-tested code, as well as the pain if you don’t plan for testing from the beginning. If you want to put those skills to use in creating tools for this new industry, you have looked at the right job.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with the development team on the testing of new features and bug fixes in various environments such as mobile, desktop, AR and VR
  • Grow and improve our automated tests, framework and infrastructure
  • Influence and guide the team to constantly improve the quality of our projects
  • Partner with our existing team to support our developer forums, when time allows

What we’re looking for

  • C# skills
  • Problem solver with a natural investigative ability to seek the best solution, not the fastest
  • Experience as an automation specialist, developing and executing testing plans for low-level code systems on large complex software projects
  • Experience with Unity platform or any other Real Time 3D engine.
  • Experience in performance, code analysis, and debugging tools

You might also have

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Development tools experience
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), geometry, metadata, and materials
  • Experience with Cloud technologies
