The opportunity
We at Unity are seeking a Software Developer to join the Multiplayer Suite. This team is responsible for a cross-platform product that allows game developers easy access to multiplayer voice and text services. We provide our service to the biggest names in the games industry, and we take tremendous pride in our products. By adding communication to their games, our customers drive up retention and stickiness as well as raise the player experience to the next level!
We are a fast-paced team that has a direct impact on the user experience! You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and others to build a first-in-class experience with our products. You’ll work on code that is installed on millions of devices including desktops, consoles, and mobile devices that cross a number of subject areas including audio processing, analytics, real-time networking and memory management.
What you’ll be doing
- Improve our users’ experience by making changes and developing new features in our client code
- Collaborate with other developers to build high-quality software that runs on a multitude of platforms including consoles, mobile and desktop
- Work with a team who come with various experiences in and out of the gaming industry
What we’re looking for
- Working knowledge of C++
- Experience or the ability to learn working in one or more of the following areas: Android native software development with the NDK, JNI, networking, real-time threading, and/or memory management
- A desire to build outstanding developer and player experiences
- Audio or other digital signal processing software development experience
You might also have
- iOS native development experience
- Experience working on a cross platform SDK
- Real time communications or telephony experience
