As a Product Manager at Unity focused on licensing and entitlement management, you will work with our R&D teams to develop a vision of how Unity can best meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of creators and unlock their creative potential to deliver games and apps to billions of users around the world.

Working with Unity users and our own development teams, you will help build a strategy and a technology roadmap to support the monetization of the tools and technology we build as well as those of our partners.

You will also work closely with our marketing team to help craft communications plans that inspire our global community.

This position will be in Montreal, QC, Canada and can be done remotely while Covid-19 restrictions apply. International travel will be expected regularly once it is safe to do so.

What you’ll be doing

Work as part of a team of Product Managers to guide the evolution of game development technology, features and functionality. The Product Management group is responsible for defining a high-level product roadmap.
Collaborate with our engineering organization to inform their understanding of what our users need by providing user stories, use cases, and market data. This will involve liaising with Apps and Game developers to extract meaningful data from our community.
Act as a technical authority in the competitive landscape that Unity operates in and lead research to deliver technical analysis and insights to internal teams.
Work with marketing to craft a release plan. Be a spokesperson representing the product to all of the appropriate market groups including clients, suppliers and strategic partners.
Track product and feature performance; identify key performance indicators.
Assist in building business cases and analytical insight for new business initiatives. This requires identifying key issues, quantitatively analyzing related metrics, and communicating results.

What we’re looking for

You have prior product management or equivalent experience working for a B2B software development company.
You demonstrate outstanding communication skills and have the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly.
You have experience in defining market problems and opportunities, making hypotheses and validating them with existing or potential users.
You have experience in software development using C++, C# or another computer language and have the ability to understand complex software architectures. You understand the challenges of IT privacy and security.
You have a good business judgment and have experience in building investment proposals around a product or service that focus on growth.
