The opportunity

Unity Ads builds advertising and personalized content delivery solutions used in hundreds of thousands of apps. Our platform generates and processes extensive datasets that are used by machine learning systems living at the core of our various products.

In the Auction Efficiency team, we develop groundbreaking ML-centric products. These products provide millions of predictions every second to optimize the efficiency and profitability of the company’s main Ads Exchange. We’re looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist to join an outstanding team of engineers working to expand the performance and functionality of these products. You will have a huge impact on scoping out, contributing, and delivering new Ads initiatives that have a direct effect on company revenue and client relationships. This is an excellent chance to work with some of the best in the industry on products that directly impact the company’s bottom line.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain machine learning models that maximize the performance and profitability of our ads exchange, influencing decisions on billions of ad requests each day.

  • Translate business problems into a design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.

  • Conduct model evaluations and use metrics to drive continuous improvement.

  • Form and validate hypotheses about model performance by conducting rigorous experiments.

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a data scientist with strong programming skills

  • Experience in leading data science projects from ideation to production in various problem domains.

  • Proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of best coding practices.

  • Experience with production-grade machine learning model development using Tensorflow or Pytorch.

  • Experience with Cloud Computing

You might also have

  • Extensive experience in writing and optimizing pipelines for model training and evaluation, utilizing frameworks such as Tensorflow Extended (TFX).

  • Proficient in probabilistic modeling frameworks, including Tensorflow Probability and PyMC, with practical experience on Google Cloud Platform.

  • Skilled in mobile advertisement technology and applications.
