The opportunity:
Unity is recruiting an experienced Sr Software Backend Developer to build innovative solutions for the creators across the world within our online services division. By joining this team, you will be at the forefront of developing a new product offering with novel concepts to further empower creators of content and connect them to a wider audience.
This opportunity will allow you to join a small, high-visibility, high-impact agile team, working closely with engineers, product and leadership across Unity, as well as end-customers, to drive product design, implementation, and ship functional end to end solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working in a small team to swiftly execute a new, innovative product offering
- Building out API’s to provide game clients (Unity and more) and frontend web features
- Integrating and working with cloud technologies
- Operate within a distributed team and collaborate with colleagues both local and remote
- Lead through technical challenges and help guide other members of the team to impactful customer outcomes
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to clearly communicate your ideas and solutions and discuss them with the team
- Experience with designing and developing REST APIs, asynchronous programming, databases and real-time event systems
- Thrives with ambiguously defined project goals and can quickly iterate on solutions
- Experience working across multiple roles and assisting in-game client and front end web development
- Experience with DevOps standard methodologies and technologies (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
You might also have:
- Experience with C#, Unity's engine, and related tools
- Worked on commercial games with a focus on asset and content integration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent engineering experience
