Unity's XR Tools Group makes tools for augmented and virtual reality. Alongside a team of developers and designers, you'll be providing supporting research to help drive product strategy and operations for XR applications we take to market. You will be involved in driving feedback loops with our customers and collaborating with other teams at Unity. We will depend on you to be organized with sharp analytical skills, as you learn to partner with Marketing, Legal, and Finance. You will have a window into Unity's strategy for mobile, HMD, and desktop components of XR authoring. Among other tasks, you will collect and summarize user feedback, analyze product and market metrics, and build and present reports.

Responsibilities

Contribute to product roadmap and development for our XR authoring suite across mobile, HMD, and desktop, in partnership with Engineering
Project management and coordination within our team and in partnership with Marketing, Legal, Finance, and other teams across Unity
Process and analyze customer research, usability studies, and user traction to drive products forward
Collaborate with engineering teams to provide user stories, use cases, and market data
Be a champion of / and innovator of AR software design patterns and stay up-to-date on the latest XR hardware and software advances

Basic Requirements

Be registered to a Canadian university in a relevant program
Having completed at least 2 relevant internships and/or be a Masters student
Graduation date in December 2021 or in 2022
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
English Proficiency

Specific Requirements

Demonstrated interest in XR, likely through club activities or personal projects
Emotional intelligence to listen and hear feedback from XR developers
Strong writing skills to summarize and report findings
Strong analytical skills - happy learning to work in spreadsheets

Bonus Points

Technical degree (Computer Science or Engineering)

Business coursework or fucus

Experience with Unity or other real-time 3D creation engine
A true passion for, and enjoyment of spatial computing and human-computer interaction, demonstrated through demos and prototypes
