Unity’s Montreal studio is hiring a team lead for the Unity Workflows, the main access point for the Unity editor, services, and resources. The lead will be responsible for the experience that hundreds of thousands of users will have when they first use Unity and in their daily work. The lead will drive a team of talented and user-oriented developers who love developing inspired user experience, building relations with people, and contributing to an amazing product line.

In your new position, you will lead the development of Unity Workflows, working closely with collaborators from Product management, UX design and QA and taking care of the Template team members. With your team, you will be developing the architecture that supports the discovery and error-free launching of Unity packages, configurations, content. Unity Workflows will also be used to test core Unity features and products as part of Release Management. You will also contribute ideas for the product and manage architectural design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance. Some travel is required 3-4 times per year.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, Test and Maintain an application used by more than a million developers
- Guide the Template team efforts towards successful deliveries
- Drive the estimates and work plans; Track work plans, help mitigate risk and report on delivery status to different stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership, support and guidance to the team members
- Design, develop, and test applications in accordance with established standards
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems
- Assist Product Manager and Product Designer in the documentation of user's requirements and the design of the Template Portfolio UX
- Collaborate with internal teams based around the world
Requirements
- A real passion for building usable, polished and enjoyable user experiences
- Experience with multiple technology stacks across product and business units
- Experience in engineering team management and mentorship
- Solid understanding standard methodologies (continuous integration, source control management, code reviews)
- Experience with C#, JS, and Javascript technologies and frameworks

- Experience in Unity application development
- Experience with cross-platform native application development

- Experience with C++
