Uken’s Growth Team is responsible for building and driving high scale user acquisition campaigns to bring games to a world wide audience and is adding a 3D Animator to the team. This role will create and produce pre-rendered animated sequences using characters and props from our titles, as well as still renders for use in marketing, gameplay trailers, social media posts, and in-game pop ups.
You’ll be working on meaningful things like:
- Creating character and environment/prop animations and pre-rendered sequences for use in marketing and social media campaigns
- Supporting project style and character personalities through your animations
- Posing and rendering out character stills based on marketing and in-game needs
- Setting up basic scenes and adjusting lighting based on feedback
Your background should include:
- Comfort animating using Maya
- Experience with basic scene setup and rendering in Maya
- A strong understanding and feel for the Principles of Animation and body mechanics
- Comfort storyboarding out narrative beats
- Good communication skills and the ability to tackle tasks and feedback constructively
- The following skills are nice to have: compositing, lighting, and/or digital visual effects experience, modelling, rigging, and/or texturing and experience working within a game engine
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant animation skills is required for consideration

Note: Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this role will begin as a work from home position and will move to the office when restrictions are lifted.
