Job Description

Your life @ Ubisoft

You will become the official lens of the Communication team and of the company, being responsible of all photo/video content produced internally. You will be part of a young, dynamic, and passionate team of communicators and will be working on cross-functional projects, with colleagues from all departments in both of our studios. You will be producing content for employer branding and corporate PR campaigns, for both internal and external communications. Teamwork and collaboration are key in your role, and you will be able to feel the direct impact of your output on our audience.

You will have the chance to contribute to a shift in how we communicate and be a part of building the Ubisoft corporate brand into a leader of the entertainment market in Romania. These are exciting times for us, if this also sounds like an opportunity to you, make sure to reach out!

Have in mind that for this role, applications need to be accompanied by a portfolio.

Your main mission

As a Video Editor at Ubisoft Romania, you will be key in shaping our internal and external visual communication. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Propose a creative approach for each photo/video project in the communication team, in line with the corporate tone of voice and brand guidelines and align it with the project manager and/or direct stakeholders (be it only a discussion, relevant examples to support your vision or a storyboard)
  • Scout locations for photo/video projects, in line with the message and subjects and prepare a matching set-up
  • Guide subjects through the photo/video projects – you will often work with colleagues without camera experience, and your talent to get the best of them will come in handy
  • Work closely with the communications team and/or direct stakeholders in the post-production process – provide intermediate updates, drafts, prepare revised versions based on stakeholders’ feedback
  • Manage the time and deadlines set for each project to ensure timely delivery
  • Use storytelling techniques to create impactful videos, that send clear messages and move people
  • Input sound & graphics to enhance footage, where needed
  • Playing around with different rough cuts and synchronize them into one organic piece
  • Improve/correct lighting, coloring, or any other type of faulty footage
  • Manage the internal photo/video equipment – currently owned and extra needs provided by external suppliers (rentals)

Qualifications

The value you bring

  • You are an experienced video editor, with a solid background in a corporate or agency environment, working part of a team, and with a relevant portfolio to showcase.
  • You are proficient in key editing software & in using photo/video equipment, with excellent knowledge of computers, digital tools and new technology.
  • You are a creative person, with the ability to transpose ideas, messages, feelings into images.
  • You are a born storyteller, always trying to innovate, to find new approaches to your projects, to make your work stand out.
  • You enjoy working in a team and collaborating with people from different backgrounds, whether they are camera-friendly or not. In fact, you are driven by your passion to catch raw emotion and to deliver strong messages through your videos.
  • You are a good communicator and listener, easily adaptable to new ways of working and always willing to share your passion for film (we are always open to new recommendations 😉).
  • Oh, and yes, English is our top language here, so you need to master it.
