Purpose of the position
As Ubisoft Montreal's Vice President of Production Intelligence, your mission will be to modernize our production strategy and maximize its efficiency to make room for innovation and the creation of value-added features for our projects.
You’ll follow the advancement of projects and provide visibility on progress and issues. With a focus on sharing and reuse of content and processes, you’ll be accountable for increasing production efficiency.
Responsible for overseeing our transversal production service teams, you’ll leverage effective partnerships with project teams to boost collaboration and implement methods to optimize our development processes.
As a member of the studio executive committee reporting to the Managing Director, you'll influence the studio's goals and priorities, plus play an essential role in validating project roadmaps for the long term.
Key responsibilities
- Redefine our approach to production monitoring and implement the necessary tools for following progress (KPIs, dashboards, milestone meetings, etc.).
- Define KPIs to measure and track the health of productions.
- Validate each project’s roadmap, anticipating and mitigating risks that are potential blockers to delivering on time and within scope.
- Develop a content sharing and reuse strategy, working closely with the VP of Technology to identify areas of improvement within production.
- Maintain alignment between the studio’s production strategy and that of the relevant departments at HQ.
- Advise the studio Managing Director on subjects related to production intelligence and optimization.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience in production or project management in the video game industry (or other related experience)
- In-depth knowledge of development pipelines and interdependencies + familiarity with a variety of project management methodologies
- An innovative spirit that drives you to explore and bring about optimized ways of doing things
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and French and English communication skills
- An inclusive, influential, and inspiring leadership style that allows you to rally people together toward common goals
- Effective cross-departmental collaboration: you can easily cooperate with members from all disciplines and organizational levels
- Consideration of different perspectives before acting on new ideas
- Flexibility to respond to continuous market changes and quality expectations
