Job Description

As a tools programmer within Ubi MTL's Studio Alice, you play a key role in designing and implementing the tools and technologies used by the Alice teams (MoCap, audio, casting, 4D scanning, etc.). The tools you work on will enable them to bring their vision and creativity to world-renowned games.

What it means daily

  • Collaborate with the team to assess and organize requests for new development or improvements.

  • Perform code reviews of your peers for continuous improvement.

  • Assist in improving our development process, always with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Provide support for tools, production pipelines, and productivity tools (integrations, CI/CD, etc.).

  • Sustain the pipeline tools by fixing bugs identified by end users.

  • Document your work to transfer knowledge and help developers and end users understand the pipeline and its functions.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in C# (core 7) and Python (3.11).

  • Ability to work in a team, good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Autonomy, curiosity, and resourcefulness that drive you to engage with others.

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.

  • Flexibility in organizing your work to adapt to changes.

  • A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant work experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the video game industry.

  • Knowledge of digital content creation tools (MotionBuilder, 3DSMax, Maya).

  • Knowledge of SOLID Principles.

  • Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).

  • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).
