A Technical Director - Narrative oversees all narrative pipeline content, providing consistent upgrades and improvements in the project as well as resolving technical issues related to the narrative pipeline.

The work involves a high amount of coordination between creative and technical teams to align goals, expectations, pipeline and compatibility to achieve the desired output. He/she must be able to solve problems effectively, contribute realistic artistic ideas as well as technical expertise in game development. He/she will be an advisor who is proficient in communicating and influencing trade-offs and conflicting project priorities within the team.

Functions And Key Tasks

Identify pipeline requirements
Analyze narrative production workflows to understand pipeline requirements and anticipate challenges of data creation and iteration
Propose suitable tools and technologies to resolve production workflow challenges
Support development based on project technical requirements
Implement and optimize production pipelines
Oversee narrative content design, content Integration, maintenance and ownership of narrative and localization databases
Develop tools and scripts for the department to aid complex content implementation
Information gathering for narrative content
Resolve complexities pertaining to narrative pipelines and technical production workflows
Provide technical advisory and support in narrative content and workflow requirements
Drive the documentation of narrative tools, pipeline and workflows
Educate narrative team members on the tools and procedures and follow through that they are being well used throughout the project
