Job Description

As a Team Lead, you are responsible for supporting the Production Director or the Production Manager (PM) in managing the quality and respect of deadlines for your team.

You will collaborate in the follow-up of your team's work and coach your team members.

What you'll do

  • Create, prioritize, assign and follow up daily on the tasks and progress of the work of your team according to the deliverables;
  • Act as a representative of your team;
  • Organize and manage team meetings;
  • Be aware of the mandates or projects and master the technical and/or artistic constraints in order to properly guide/coach your team;
  • Provide a periodic report to the CP/PM on the progress of the team's tasks and propose corrective measures when necessary in order to meet the set objectives;
  • Anticipate and identify potential conflict situations and suggest solutions to the CP/PM in the context of problem solving within you team;
  • Participate in performance follow-ups in collaboration with the CP/PM;
  • Coordinate the correction of artistic feedback related to the work of your team;
  • Ensure the integration of new employees in your team;
  • Participate in the recruitment of new team members;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Experience in your field or any other relevant experience;
  • Must have participated in at least one full game production or equivalent.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Leadership skills,
  • Ability to manage time and priorities;
  • Ability to build effective teams;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills;
  • Be flexible in the organization of your work;

  • Have a sense of initiative;
  • Knowledge of databases is an asset (JIRA, Perforce, etc.);
  • Knowledge of technical constraints related to real time, 3D engines and level editors;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Knowledge of the tools used by the members of your team.
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge of each of the other professions in game production (asset);
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (asset);
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D software (asset).
