Job Description

Work closely within the character art team to help create high quality AAA characters, push the boundaries, and develop new tools and workflows for the next generation of games.

Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in all aspects of character setup, engine integration and performance tuning.
  • Seek out opportunities for optimization and workflow improvements for the character production pipeline.
  • Support the character art team on day-to-day technical issues with tools and engine.
  • Work as a team with programmers, animators, artists, and other technical artists.
  • Research and develop forward thinking workflows and tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of creation, integration, and optimization of 3D characters into game engines.
  • At least 1 published game with 5+ years’ experience in the industry
  • Strong experience scripting for 3ds Max and Maya
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to self-manage and meet deadlines while setting a professional and collaborative tone
  • A good foundation in character art
  • Experience with the following softwares: Houdini, ZBrush, Substance Designer, 3ds Max, Maya
  • Experience developing Python scripts for Houdini
  • Experience working on Shaders and Rendering
  • Experience with character customization
