Job Description

As part of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you will play an instrumental role in bringing to life the beautiful and dangerous world of Pandora. This is a unique opportunity to keep growing your experience in games while working hand in hand with Disney’s creative minds and James Cameron's production company, Lightstorm Entertainment.

As our new Senior Development Tester (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, you are essential to ensuring the quality and stability of our game’s features and content. With a proactive attitude, you mentor other testers and ensure that all features under your responsibility meet our standards. You believe in working efficiently and testing thoroughly to achieve the best of quality. In close cooperation with your colleagues in programming, art and design, you make sure that software errors or game design problems can be corrected now, prevented later, and never reach our players

What you will do:

  • Identify, log, and maintain gameplay issues

  • Ad hoc and bug regression testing when applicable

  • Create test plans, coordinate and communicate their execution with external testers

  • Be the QA representative in a specialized development team and have a significant impact on reaching the team’s objectives

  • Facilitate communication between QA and various development teams

  • Assure the fact that the product you are responsible for raises itself to the high internal and external standards of the company, by adhering to established criteria

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience with Jira or other issue tracking systems

  • Passion for video games and commitment to quality and sustainable software

  • Strong knowledge in the areas of gaming and hardware

  • Intermediate English or higher

  • Knowledge of QA methodologies and terminology is a plus
