We are looking for a Senior Audio Designer to join our audio team in defining and crafting a high-quality audio experience with new and exciting tech for our ambitious new game IP here in Stockholm.

This role will first join in the responsibilities with our audio lead to create, design, and implement the fundaments of our environmental audio system which will ensure that the audio delivers a highly immersive experience for our players. The role will expand, and as part of the team you will be collaborating with wider leads and directors to continue pushing forward the bar of quality, making audio a core pillar in our project.

As an Audio Designer you will be responsible for the creation of content, design, and technical aspects (pipeline) that pertain to sound (music and/or sound effects) in the game. High quality and innovation are something we believe is important and you will work to identify audio opportunities and asset needs in a self-driven and collaborative environment.

This is a permanent position based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Editing, managing, and reviewing incoming content from outsource partners to build our high-quality audio assets for the environmental audio systems
  • Conceptualize, schedule, design and produce audio assets for wider game in accordance with the development and testing cycle of the product
  • Budget and contextualize audio resources, both for memory and mixing/channel handling
  • Collaborate to implement and build our environmental audio systems, while continuing to push forward on quality and innovation
  • Integrate audio in both linear and interactive forms with Wwise using Snowdrop™ proprietary software
  • Partake in creating test plans, debugging and ensure the final product meets quality benchmarks
  • Manage all audio assets (sound files, scripts, models, etc.) associated with a product and related software
  • Be aware of all aspects of the game (game design, animation, environment, 3D objects, level design, AI, scenario, etc.) to understand and pro-actively communicate the sound needs to the wider team
  • Work with audio programmers, sound designers and game developers of all disciplines to understand and develop cutting-edge, proprietary audio technologies
  • Continuous learning of the latest sound design techniques and technologies
  • Expand on innovation through collaboration in an aim to deliver breakthrough creative and technical solutions
  • Work with third party recordists, contractors, and industry partners to supplement content creation as needed

Qualifications

  • Production experience as sound/audio designer within games, music, film, television or similar
  • Intermediate or greater experience of Game engine audio implementation technologies
  • Great understanding of game audio production processes and pipelines
  • Experience from full AAA production development cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of audio production tools (Reaper or similar)
