Ubisoft Mobile HQ is seeking seasoned project manager to work on live and announced projects within the Marketing & Sales team. Based in Paris, you will be part of the team ensuring the successful go-to-market and publihsing of our mobile games worldwide, growing our playerbase, and crafting relevant experiences for our players.
You will collaborate with multiple teams within our HQ and across the world, including user acquisition, marketing, business development and distribution teams, editorial & production teams, BI, development studios, mobile regional teams, as well as the PC & Consoles teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Project Manager for Mobile publishing, your role will be to coordinate the go-to-market strategy and execution for our portfolio of mobile games across multiple functions, teams and geographies. You aim at facilitating collaboration efficiency and effectiveness of our publishing organization working transversally across and collaboratively with all expertise.
Ultimately your coordination and drive will allow to create synergies and leverage the best of our organization for the success of our launches and live games.
This is a mission for a collaborative, organized, confident PM with the ability to communicate effectively, encourage sound decision-making, and guide the teams you work with to successfully deliver on commitments through consistent and structured operations.
Roles and responsibilities
Project management
- Define and deploy a consistent project management framework (incl. Knowledge management, communication processes, governance) that can be reused on all projects for consistency and efficiency
For game launches and live games:
- Ensure planning, scheduling and put together a roadmap ensuring the delivery on time and with the required quality
- Identify risks, issues and plan for mitigation in order to reduce impact on the content, schedule and/or quality
- Ensure tracking of the progress of the team and initiate contingency plans if necessary
- Promote operational excellence through business processes
- Manage meetings (scheduling, agenda creation, facilitation, notes, follow-up) in alignment with the frequency and intent of the program communication plan
- Work alongside key program stakeholders to ensure overall health of program planning and execution is on target
Knowledge management and project infrastructure
- Create and maintain health of project documentation (RACI, risk management plan, communication plan, process management, business update reviews, business requirements, roadmaps and schedules, project charters, KPIs, project nomenclature, governance documentation, program status updates, etc.). Ensure all documentation is accurate and updated as program details change.
- Ensure alignment and validation of information across core teams, steering committees and program stakeholders.
Reporting, Communication & Collaboration
- Own execution of program communications and plan
- Transparently manage/track/communicate project and sub-project level schedule planning and tracking information (roadmap, project timeline, status, deadlines, responsibilities). Ensure a 360 view of activity status for all defined milestones/tasks/deliverables is available as a centralized, real-time resource
- Deliver scheduled and ad hoc program communications to program stakeholders (recurring status reports, meeting notes, etc.).
- Serve as an information conduit: Implement means to enhance the communication between team members ; Ensure ongoing visibility of project information across program stakeholders through all defined channels (communications plan (status reports, meetings, etc.), program knowledge repository, etc.).
- Foster collaboration and help develop a culture of transparency, open feedback and constant improvement
- Facilitate collaboration among teams and engage cross-geographical and functional teams; drive consensus in decisions, definition and execution of action items
QUALIFICATIONS
You are highly organized, detail-focused, timely, and results-driven. You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the success of operations. Your ability to motivate and influence senior leadership, key stakeholders, and employee networks across diverse functions in a global org has been proven multiple times. You are an excellent connector who collaborates, builds consensus, problem solves and helps celebrate wins.
What you need to be successful:
- Previous successful experience as a Project Manager in publishing related activities, ideally in the entertainment industry
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with numerous stakeholders across functions and geographies
- Expertise in project methodologies incl. Agile, scrum
- Heavy user of project and knowledge management tools incl. Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, Trello, Miro
- Ability to bring a transversal vision, taking into account impact on all functional areas
- Strong communication skills, self-confident, motivated, and ability to build trust with others
- Ability to analyze situations and use sound judgement and incoming data/information to determine the best course of action
- Strong self-awareness with a growth mindset; you learn from mistakes and are highly adaptable to changing situations and flexible to different ideas and solutions!
- Fluent in English, Chinese a plus
