Job Description

Ubisoft is currently seeking a full-time Manager to lead and expand Gameplan, a global content program that helps players unlock their gaming potential through informative, entertaining, and targeted video content.

The Manager, Gameplan is responsible for the overall strategy and success of Gameplan’s mission, its relationships with brands, partners, and stakeholders. This includes leadership of a newly formed Gameplan team and all content production, budget, and operations.

This person will provide video production and technical know-how to teams capturing artistic footage which will be produced, edited, and published around the world. Additionally, you will lead best practices and standards for game-based video storytelling for a select portfolio of brands to extend and amplify Gameplan’s global mission and reach.

The Manager, Gameplan will work closely with Production, Brand, and IT leaders across the company, defining and aligning a comprehensive technical platform and content strategies ensuring maximum performance and quality expectations are met. They and Gameplan will be a part of Ubisoft’s Community Content group reporting to the Sr. Manager, Community Content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead an international team of Video Editors, Capture Artists, and Producers dedicated to producing high-quality gameplay content, in multiple languages and platforms, at scale
  • Working with management, craft a long-term strategy for the expansion of Gameplan content and services to multiple platforms, channels, and content offerings
  • Act as liaison with Community Development, Production, IT, and Customer Experience to ensure communications, priorities, and roadmaps are fully aligned
  • Ensure all creative assets are delivered on time to the appropriate stakeholders to deliver Gameplan campaigns at quality and scope
  • Brief stakeholder teams on the initiatives and capabilities required to deliver a successful Gameplan campaign
  • Communicate regular updates to leadership and partners about ongoing performance, forecasting, and delivery progress against planned roadmaps
  • Apply creative problem solving and analytic skills to provide the best in class gameplay help and guide experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partner teams in Community, Support, and Studio
  • Take ownership and be accountable for program and team effectiveness and performance

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Thorough understanding of modern video game genres and platforms, including hands-on experience in project management, video production, and editing
  • People management experience with a track record of leading diverse teams
  • Passionate gamer, storyteller, and a fan on popular game trailers and influencer content online
  • Project or Product management experience with ability to manage deadlines and resources
  • Strong eye for content quality, efficiency, and performance
  • Well-developed leadership, teamwork, coaching abilities, and positive can-do attitude
  • Highly motivated and proactive, always seeking to solutions to problems
  • Ability adapt to changing priorities, and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Practical knowledge of social media channels, live streams, and YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook etc.
  • Comfortable with technology and working with tech teams
  • Strong written and verbal English communications skills
  • International travel required
