Job Description
Your life at Ubi:
As a Localization Quality Analyst, you will be handling tasks and topics related to assessing the localization quality of Ubisoft titles, supplying and analyzing localization data through dedicated tools, providing visibility on localization initiatives and updates through creative content shared with the community, contributing to maintaining a constant and good communication with Ubisoft localization partners. You will be working closely with the Localization Quality Manager, given that both your roles are interconnected, but also to achieve an optimal prioritization and distribution of tasks.
Localization is the adaptation of a product to a target culture and market. It consists in managing the translation & adaptation of written text, audio content, integration and linguistic quality assurance of a product from a source language, usually English, to several target languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese etc.).
Internationalization refers to the ensemble of actions (technical, process wise or linguistic/content wise) which are taken to ensure that a product can be localized, and, moreover, that it can be localized easily, in a timely manner and cost-efficiently.
Your main mission:
- Coordinate the implementation of localization surveys dedicated to assessing the localization quality of Ubisoft titles
- Manage the survey tool and leverage it to create surveys and extract relevant localization data
- Elaborate localization quality survey reports containing the interpretation of answers and share the findings with relevant stakeholders
- Provide data on localization usage through dedicated tool
- Update Ubisoft Localization internal page with relevant articles and news
- Create and share the Ubisoft Localization newsletter
- Monitor titles released by competitors and compile related data
- Elaborate occasional presentations on specific localization market topics
- Contribute to maintaining a good communication with Ubisoft localization partners and localization suppliers reaching out to Ubisoft (task shared with Localization Quality Manager)
Qualifications
The professional value you bring:
- Good understanding of localization process
- Good understanding of video games production and interest in technology
- Interest in other languages/cultures
- Excellent MS Office and Internet literacy
- Basic knowledge of Tableau and Qualtrics is a plus
