Job Description

The Local IT Site Manager is responsible for the quality of the IT Services at Ubisoft San Francisco including Remote Offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sao Paulo & Mexico City. Reporting to the Senior Regional IT Manager, you will plan, lead and be involved in all IT related tasks for these sites.

This position oversees all operational tasks related to the site such as meeting rooms, team movement, inventory management and request follow-up. You are responsible for the budgeting and purchases of hardware and software for the sites you will be working with.

This is a full-time position that will start off remote, due to Covid-19, and will transition to working onsite in San Francisco when our office reopens.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage the Local IT team, creating a collaborative working environment
  • Own the site’s IT decision process and provide support to the site’s strategic objectives in alignment with the global strategy and the other sites of the NCSA region
  • Gather feedback from representatives of all projects & site management to make sure support is in line with expectations
  • Elaborate on and follow the site’s IT budget with local finance teams
  • Oversee the customer request distribution and timely resolution within the Local IT team of the site
  • Provide reporting on operational tasks and status of support, budget and inventory
  • Ensure software, hardware standards and inventory are updated and accurate
  • Validate that all requests performed by the team and site IT decisions follow Security Best Practices
  • Be the technical and managerial escalation level for the site’s employees
  • Represent and advocate the site’s interests within the global IT organization
  • Perform the tasks of an IT technician which include:
    • On-site support to end users
    • Manage local infrastructure
    • Actively identify potential improvements
    • Support local events

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in developing, leading and managing IT teams
  • Technical certifications an asset (CCNA/MCP/CompTia/etc)
  • ITIL certification an asset
  • Experience in budget management
  • Management and organizational skills with diverse cultures
  • Possess a pragmatic and flexible approach
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Easily able to adapt to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and problem-solving approach to challenges
  • Expertise in PC and laptop support and latest hardware news
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of printing materials, networking, cabling, SCCM, Active Directory
  • Linux knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of multimedia equipment, Mac OS X, ITIL, Agile methodologies, Scripting ability (batch files, VBScript, PowerShell) is a plus
