JOB DESCRIPTION

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Lead Rigger at Ubi San Francisco, you'll supervise the rigging team, and make sure that the rig quality standards are enhanced and maintained. With your deep technical expertise and experience, you coach the rigging team, oversee their needs and push for the team's technical growth and proficiency. You are able to demonstrate leadership and ingenuity working alongside a dedicated and talented dev team on XDefiant.

  • Be both an artistic and technical mentor for all the members of the team to push the team's quality

  • Help resolve all other tasks directly or indirectly related to rigging

  • Define, document, communicate and establish best practices and techniques for the rigging pipeline

  • Organize and overview the creation for in-game character generation

  • Create, prioritize, assign, and follow the different tasks in the team

  • Serve as the rigging team's representative by closely working with the animation and modeling teams

  • Work with the senior TD's to develop and integrate tools into a robust pipeline

  • Help in recruitment and integration of all new members and mentor their skill development to ease their learning curve

QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Mid to Senior level years of experience in rigging, modelling, or animating (or other related experience)

  • Knowledge of 3D software (3DS Max, Maya, and MotionBuilder) + familiarity with scripting

  • Solid understanding of anatomy and cloth

  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • A highly collaborative, creative, and innovative spirit

  • Flexibility and resourcefulness

  • Motivation to reach out for feedback and adapt to it

  • Knowledge and understanding of game engines
