Job Summary –

Ubisoft Entertainment is seeking for RND Engineer with strong technical background and ability to understand handle the coding expertise. The RND engineer will work with the Automation Team Lead and help him develop automation modules for different project. The member will also collaborate with development, QC lead and different managers to understand the requirements and identify the QC needs.

The ideal candidate shall have the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel. Strong game knowledge and Technical strong to understand debugging, troubleshooting, knowledge of source code and work on different environments. The position will require the person to work closely with multiple studios and the development teams to ensure high level of collaboration on the assigned title.

Job Responsibilities:

As owner of delivering high quality outputs on a project, you will be involved in a many projects and initiatives of quality control and serving the following mandates -

Oversee Process

  • Gather and analyze QC tools requirements and automation needs from the QC Project team

  • Work with QC PM/QCC, Production and core Automation team to drive the automation within the project, and provide technical support to QC team.

  • Have a good awareness of Ubisoft and third-party automation tools. Develop expertise on Airtest, selenium, (Autotest, Ranorex, Dtest- will be a plus)

  • Along with Automation team design, develop and implement automation frameworks for project requirements on different mobile platforms. Maintain already developed automation framework and scripts with regular changes in build and to adapt to better technologies as and when needed

  • Need to work on promoting agile methodology in the QC team, along with local QC PM/QCC. Create relevant tools and train QC team to follow the agile processes.

  • Have a good understanding of Production CI/CD pipeline and integrate QC solutions as per the requirements.

  • Contribute to the Automation kickoff process with a clear analysis of Automation requirements from QC differentiating existing tools vs need to create additional tools. Provide relevant inputs to the local and remote QC Project Managers

  • Share and collaborate with the Automation community to promote best practices and reuse of developed tools and solutions

  • Understand QC KPIs and metrics and come up with solutions to efficiently capture and present to stakeholders. Promote a data-driven culture in QC

  • Train QC testers to most efficiently apply the automation and overall use of technology to see better results in coverage and improved time to validate, supported by positive KPIs

  • Drive improvements to the build and release scripts, tools, and processes. Maintain and evolve the automation framework for GAAS games over the duration of the project based on requirements

  • Understand the architecture flow and Code accordingly with the senior automation engineer.

  • Analyze execution report, log valid product defects, take decisions on quality of the build and communicate status of the build quality to stake holders

  • Contribute in knowledge sharing, brain storming, and other initiatives of prototype development and innovation


Required Skills

  • 3+ years of working on Automation initiatives and technologies.

  • Good managerial skills with previous experience in coordinating large, cross-cultural and cross-functional teams

  • Solid communication skills in English

  • Understanding of Game Development Life Cycle and Game Testing Life Cycle along with Experience on mobile titles.

Technical Skills

    • C++

    • C#

    • SQL, database, Java script and HTML will be a plus

    • Knowledge on XCODE, objective-C and SWIFT will be a plus.

Educational Qualification:

· B.E/BTech/MTech/MS Computer Science in computer science or equivalent
