Job Description

The Live Games team helps Ubisoft's internal partners not only create a platform to host games, but also accompany a game throughout its life: before its launch (architecture design, technological R&D, tool recommendations, etc.) and after its launch (operations, reporting and measurement, 24/7 monitoring and administration, and incidents/request management).

As an IT Production Manager, you are responsible for implementing the best processes, methods and tools to ensure the quality of the pre-launch, launch and post-launch of a portfolio of Ubisoft games. In other words, you’re the champion of delivery, reliability, resilience and operational excellence of Ubisoft's online gaming infrastructure. You will help maintain a balance between the satisfaction of our partners and the health of the gaming infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and guide the team in all daily tasks;
  • Establish and maintain a roadmap of IT projects and strategies to continue to bring business value to our partners;
  • Organizes and coordinates activities and resources in collaboration with team leaders and according to production needs;
  • Verify service management processes (incident management, change management, problem management) and fill gaps to meet operational needs;
  • Plan tasks to execute the budget (and quarterly reviews) and present them to managers and interested stakeholders;
  • Help define deliverables for content, milestones and any related changes (new dates for milestones, etc.) and implement processes to resolve issues;
  • Coordinate post-launch with production teams;
  • Work on development plans to ensure that the team can support emerging technologies.

Qualifications

Education and relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, IT, business administration or equivalent work experience;
  • 5 years’ experience in computer science (development or operations);
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management (Cascading, Agile or both);
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries locally and globally is an asset.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the movement and Dev-Ops principles in an Agile methodology and frameworks (Scrum and Kanban);
  • Leadership and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to make quick decisions to solve problems;
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing or ambiguous environment;
  • Ability to communicate and simplify information effectively with all levels of management;
  • Highly organized and rigorous;
  • Autonomy, curiosity, ownership, proactivity and pragmatism;
  • Bilingual French and English (written and oral).
