Job Description

What you'll do

As the Director of Licensing, you will manage the Licensing business for the NCSA territory, across a growing portfolio of Ubisoft brands that generate revenues to achieve our financial goals. You will execute the licensing strategy across multiple categories, video game franchises and business models (including but not limited to esports, Ubisoft Film & TV initiatives, and emerging technologies). You are a skilled presenter who can sell Ubisoft franchises across categories to licensing partners and can confidently represent Ubisoft Consumer Products with Retail partners. Additionally, you are a strong communicator and are adept at collaborating across cultures in your efforts to grow the business.

  • Partnerships:
    • Manage and grow key partnerships with new and current licensing partners.
      • Identify the best new partners and actively pitch Ubisoft brands across categories.
      • Lead all contract negotiations, across both regional and global deals.
      • Foster and grow relationships with licensees over the long term.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key retailers.
      • Participate in monthly/quarterly calls with key buyers.
      • Pitch Ubisoft brands and initiatives to secure cross-category programs.
      • Collaborate with Ubisoft Account Teams for partnership on retail pitches and opportunities.
    • Partner with internal teams to drive and grow the licensing business.
      • Collaborate with Senior Creative Director to elevate licensee execution.
      • Partner closely with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Brand, Transmedia, Partnerships) by developing synergies in executing our strategy.
  • Strategy:
    • Partner with VP to develop and execute a comprehensive Licensing strategy.
    • Maintain knowledge of current and developing industry trends, awareness of competitors, and new business opportunities.
  • Financial:
    • Assist with monitoring quarterly forecast.
    • Manage annual Business Reviews with key licensees.
    • Analyze quarterly POS data with the help of the analytical team.
  • Marketing:
    • Collaborate with Consumer Products Marketing Manager to support licensees with marketing.

  • Ability to communicate well, in small or large groups.
  • Experience managing licensees in line planning, sales strategy, marketing.
  • Knowledge of retail and e-commerce within the Licensing space.
  • Relationship management with licensees and retail partners.
  • Responsible, organized and exceptional team player.
  • Leads by example.
