The Ubisoft Data Office team is responsible for the development of the Ubisoft Data Platform. The Data Plateform Group (DPG) develops and manages a variety of data services and tools for storing and analyzing game telemetry. Recognized as a trusted source and reference across the company, these internal products provide real-time visibility into how Ubisoft titles are played and an understanding of the habits and preferences of its players.

As a Data Developer on the DPG team, you will transform large volumes of data into organized, actionable insights. Specifically, you will focus on a key part of our big data pipeline process: cleaning up raw data and preparing it for visualization and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimize highly efficient and reliable data pipelines;
  • Work closely with our studio analysts, evaluating the most important metrics to provide them with useful analytical content;
  • Integrate data sets into dashboards, internal platforms, and analytics products;
  • Collaborate on decisions regarding the use of new tools and processes;
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality;
  • Stay up to date on technological innovations to help develop our best practices.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in data engineering;
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (e.x: Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, HBase and Spark);
  • Knowledge of programming languages and functional paradigms (e.x: Scala);
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL;
  • Experience in a complex environment and ability to make information accessible;
  • Familiarity with the concept of data quality.
