JOB DESCRIPTION
Ubisoft Global Publishing is looking for a Data Analytics & Reporting Manager who will act as the data expert for the global publishing team, designing dashboards and datasets in collaboration with BI teams to provide in depth reporting for Ubisoft products & competitors. In addition to that, he or she will be completing ad hoc research projects for senior management as well as managing one senior analyst.
Your mission will be as follows:
Project Management
- Support global publishing data strategies through continued enhancement of data sources and reporting dashboards.
- Lead creation & management of project plans. Define project scope. Identify key risks, issues, and dependencies for resolution. Present analysis and updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Collaborate across technical & business teams to define project scope, provide insight, advise on prioritization, configuration management and to facilitate project completion.
- Promote knowledge share, metrics usage and reporting usage through training presentations and development of reporting hubs and sites.
Reporting
- Be able to confidently present analysis and demonstrate tools to team and executives while being flexible in adapting to unexpected questions
- Oversee weekly analysis on performance of our game pre- and post-launch
- Develop in-depth understanding of key drivers of sales and marketing performance
- Report on industry-wide sales data. Provide analysis and communicate findings to senior management. Edit and publish monthly reporting to company.
- Incorporate financial modeling, situation analysis and problem diagnosis to support ad hoc business decisions.
- Be able to confidently present analysis and demonstrate tools to team and executives, and be flexible in adapting to unexpected questions.
- Manage and oversee weekly reporting deliverables with one Senior Analyst.
Tool Design & Development
- Design and build business tools to improve usability and reliability of data; support best practices for reporting, analytics, and key metrics
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence partners to support development of BI infrastructure including metrics, reporting and analytics platforms
- Build SQL queries and validate data to improve current processes
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or other applicable fields.
- Has a strong expertise in conducting in depth analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, macros, pivot tables, external data ranges, formulas, functions)
- Intermediate SQL or Tableau is required
- Experience with business intelligence and data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Teradata or MicroStrategy is a plus.
- Possess genuine excitement and passion for developing and analyzing large, complex data sets and converting them into the information/insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the organization.
- Outstanding communicator; should be able to convey ideas to other teams
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and time efficient.
- Knowledge of video game industry a plus.
