For more than 8 years, via its Ubisoft Mobile entity, Ubisoft has also shaped worlds on smartphones and tablets through its portfolio of mobile games.

Ubisoft Mobile HQ is seeking a Community Developer for an ambitious unnanounced project, leading the community strategy , building connections between the community and the games' development team, developing a multi-channel strategy, creating the right messages and assets for our audience.

You will collaborate with multiple teams within our HQ and across the world, including user acquisition, marketing, business development and distribution teams, editorial & production teams, BI, development studios, mobile regional teams, as well as the PC & Consoles teams.

The Community Developer will report to the Senior Social Media Manager and will provide a strong connection between the gaming community and the internal teams, managing key aspects of communication, asset development and working to expand the game experience.

You will also work with several of our services at an international level, including the teams handling PR, Events, Business and Development, to make sure the concerns of the community are voiced for all aspects related to marketing and game development.


  • Shape a community-focused strategy and content campaign to serve both the community needs and support marketing activities.
  • Build the appropriate channels strategy to ensure high acquisition and engagement of the community(-ies) and set the editorial line for community-centric communication.
  • Communicate as one of the spokespersons for the assigned product or franchise, creating and managing conversation and ongoing dialogue with the fan community online.
  • Coordinate communication, activities and initiatives with marketing departments for consistent and cohesive messaging.
  • Define and report on content KPI’s to demonstrate success and ROI of community programs and content.
  • Develop and execute community content tactics that support the overall marketing strategy: includes but not limited to the creation of assets such as video blogs, podcasts, interviews, annotated screenshots and game guides.
  • Work with our local marketing teams to adapt the plan when necessary and relevant.
  • Be a representative voice of the players and community in internal discussions with the production and marketing teams to make sure they are represented and play an active role in our decision-making processes.
  • Manage and coordinate with live teams for post-launch communication: set expectations on applicable situations such as patch content, status and delivery.
  • Develop strategies and manage external milestones, such as betas, to ensure objectives and KPIs are met.
  • Manage and produce internal reports on community reaction, activities and output.
  • Work in close relationships with the licensor to update on the plan and main results and get fed about the game and brand activity.


What you need to be successful on that position:

  • Strong experience in Community or community-related fields; preferably in gaming
  • Proven track record of successful cross-functional collaborations and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a global team to prioritize tasks and deliver on time.
  • Well-versed in social media, live streaming, and digital content.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, always seeking to solutions to problems.
  • Ability to be flexible, change priorities, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Loves and plays video games, a must.
  • Ability to work in an international context and deal with multiple cultures
  • Strong communication skills, oral & written, self-confident, motivated, and ability to build trust with others
  • Fluent in English (French, Portuguese or Chinese could be a plus)
