Since opening its doors in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has become the biggest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia. Job Description


The Cinematic Designer’s main task is to work with people from different disciplines to come up with and create in-game cutscenes. Their responsibilities are to ensure the realization of these cutscenes and make sure they look good cinematically and still contain the information they need.

Ideally, the applicant should have a basic understanding of composition, framing, and animation. They should also be familiar with using a game engine or video editors, as the job requires most of the work to be done within the game engine. They should also have good communication skills and display teamwork as Cinematic Designers will have to communicate and talk to other job disciplines during the project.


  • Create in-game cutscenes in the game engine, following the scripts provided
  • Choose the right animations and cameras to best portray the intentions of the designers and writers
  • Communicate with other job disciplines to ensure the quality of the scenes



  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere / Adobe After Effects;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels;
  • Knowledge in Unity is a plus;
  • Knowledge in Cinematography, Film, and Animation is a plus;
  • Skills in handling digital equipment and ability to meet deadlines.
