JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Be part of a company that celebrates creativity and innovation to provide positive and long-lasting gaming experience to the players, the Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager champions our efforts in the planning, development, and administration of a full range of compensations and benefits programs at Ubisoft Shanghai. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible to drive the compensation strategy, ensure effective and innovative delivery of all activities and outcomes related to compensation and benefits through your strong leadership and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities related to employee compensation and benefits, international mobility.
  • Provide guidance to leadership on pay and reward decisions, policies, and guideline interpretation.
  • Conduct competitive benchmark analysis, participate in and analyse Compensation and Benefits survey as necessary.
  • Identify the opportunities to improve the current programs/plan, make justified recommendations. Drive, design and implement new compensation and benefits initiatives and changes, ensure that the company is competitively positioned for talent acquisition and retention.
  • Take a leadership role in the design of creative solutions to specific programs and problem resolutions with a focus on effectiveness, consistency, and innovation.
  • Is responsible for annual budgeting on all subjects of employee compensation and benefits.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure all compensation and benefits programs are effectively communicated to employees and managers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the compliance with legal requirements and regulations affecting compensation and benefits function, ensure all policies, procedures and practices are compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Partner with Talent Partners to ensure the compliance of performance and compensation evaluation policies and practices with best external practices.
  • Interact with Global C&B team to carry out global programs locally.
  • Manage Ubisoft’s HRIS tool including all HR reporting and documentation. Ensure all related policies, procedures and plan documentation pertaining to employee benefits are kept update to date.
  • Manage relations with vendors and legal partners.
  • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a compensation and benefits management role with direct supervisory for at least three recent years.
  • Significant knowledge and expertise of all subjects of compensation and benefits is required.
  • Extensive experience working with incentive compensation and recognition programs.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Strong ability in project management and policy/procedure implementation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills both in English and Chinese.
  • Exceptional attention to details.
  • Outstanding confidentiality and integrity.
  • Self-driven, strong leadership mindset.
  • High learning agility to learn quickly and perform consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process-improvement oriented.
  • Demonstrated a strong ability to manage and coach a high performing team.
