Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled 3D Artist to be part of our Ubisoft Osaka Studio working on a future unannounced AAA project. If you have a passion for videogames and want to work in a friendly and international environment, come join our team!

As a 3D Artist, you will create captivating 3D environments in an immersive world to explore. Whether it's a level, a side mission, or part of an open world, you will assemble and position key elements to deliver impactful visual moments and enhance the player's experience. Each element you carefully place, whether it's a building or a prop, tells a story and evokes an atmosphere and mood.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Level Designers and Art Directors to create environments.

  • Create high poly models, game models, materials and modular kits following the production pipeline.

  • Integrate 3D assets in the game editor and create scene and level compositions.

  • Balance artistic aspects with technical constraints, while maintaining quality and performance standards.

  • Understand and apply graphic principles.

  • Use artistic references to improve visuals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an art role on 1 or 2 AAA game production cycles.

  • Basic gameplay and level design knowledge.

  • Knowledge of image composition, lighting, colour theory.

  • Knowledge of 3D software (e.g. Maya, 3DS Max, ZBrush).

  • Knowledge of material and texturing software (e.g. Substance Painter, Substance Designer).

  • Storytelling and observation skills.

  • Ability to accept feedback, adapt to change and work as part of a team.

  • Sense of initiative and responsibility.

  • Curiosity and creativity.
