The Partnerships team is a core part of Twitchโ€™s efforts to attract established creators to adopt streaming and retain the programโ€™s partner base by managing relationships and driving incremental value wherever possible. As Sr. Director or Director of Community Partnerships you will lead a diverse team focussed on sourcing, onboarding, development and day-to-day account management of partner businesses across a range of both established and emerging communities in North America. This includes full-cycle acquisition of new creators from strategy formation, ideation, procurement and execution. Adjacent to best-in-class onboarding and account management, the team drive and support a range of value add opportunities for partners via community building programs that see cross and intra-departmental support (Esports, Studios, Marketing, PR). The ideal candidate exhibits exceptional organizational skills, client management experience, a customer service mentality and the ability to execute under evolving timelines are critical competencies. As a manager, you will lead, mentor and grow an expanding team of talented professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shaping and iterating on best-in-class account management practices from conception to implementation in partnership with Content team stakeholders
  • Iterating and building on the vision of community initiatives tailored to partner needs
  • Operationalizing ad-hoc initiatives and manage team bandwidth accordingly
  • Meeting annual community focussed growth targets
  • Building and driving exceptional reporting standards across the team
  • Forming critical intra and cross departmental relationships required to unlock value add opportunities for partners and that which service broader company initiatives
  • Driving efficiency in process and workflow optimization, setting the standard with a focus on delivering results and overall output quality
  • Leading a team of people managers and individual contributors focused on servicing the core partner base as well as bespoke community growth initiatives
  • Defining operational priorities, and driving flawless performance by identifying risks early, planning contingencies and reacting to issues in real time to solve problems
  • Acting as a senior voice and champion partners and streamers needs across the Twitch business
  • Identifying new off-platform creator growth opportunities that are compatible with Twitchโ€™s business model, keeping on top of industry trends in partnership with the Strategy & Analytics team
  • Continuously identifying opportunities for improvement across the team in an effort to constantly raise the quality of acquisition and retention of partners
  • Manage and allocate budgets and monitor costs
  • Regularly report to senior management, the SVP of Content and Twitchโ€™s executive team
  • Lead efforts to scale partner account management and devise tactics that will aid in the future support of streamers across all lifecycles
  • Work with technical and internal stakeholders to ideate and develop roadmaps for internal tooling (e.g. CRM)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise client and or agency side account management or publisher side community building / user acquisition
  • Proven track record of leadership and mentorship of personnel within large organizations
  • Must be organized, strategic, creative and be able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver against organizational goals
  • Ability to provide value-added recommendations to enhance our systems and programs
  • Self-starter mentality - must be able to effectively work independently and autonomously
  • High degree of accountability and sense of ownership
  • Exceptional ability to project manage, work backwards, and plan for results
  • The interpersonal skills required to navigate a multiple-stakeholder environment as part of a cross-functional team. You know how to get buy-in from all levels while continuing to drive success within your own team
  • A proven track record of creating and improving processes. You donโ€™t just inhabit a role; you make it better, and are willing to help others improve their roles as well
  • The forethought to thoughtfully escalate problem areas in advance. You arenโ€™t afraid to ask for help early, and we wonโ€™t penalize you for raising concerns
  • A wealth of clever ideas to remove or work around project blockers. You believe process is important, but not at the expense of results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience directly with creators and developing creator careers in a management or platform role
  • A historical Twitch presence as a streamer, moderator, chatter, or lurker. Weโ€™re partial to folks who genuinely love our product
