About the Role

Twitch is looking for a motivated and self-initiating Sr Tax Manager - Indirect Tax to be part of the Twitch tax team to contribute to our dynamic business. You will emphasize the operationalization of indirect tax requirements for Twitch's multiple digital and physical products. You will report to the Twitch Head of Tax.

As Twitch continues to grow its live streaming platform with our amazing social community, we are looking for a candidate with experience with project management who will support and grow our unique social community through your technical tax knowledge partnership with multiple teams.

You Will:

  • Promote digital product and merchandise market expansion and maintain compliance to increase global revenue through several sales channels including mobile payment platforms.
  • Work with internal and external tax teams to develop and operationalize necessary tax requirements i.e. registration / tax return filing / cash tax remittance/ financial reporting and ongoing audit / controversy support.
  • Analyze and document new product or market geo expansion use cases and provide tax requirements.
  • Be part of the indirect tax compliance team to support monthly indirect tax compliance including E2E tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Advise on indirect tax impact in our rev share model for our vendor payouts.
  • Be a trusted advisor and able to identify new technical tax issues and process improvements for scalability and profitability.

You Have:

  • CPA with a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, economics or a related field
  • 10+ years experience in both public and industry
  • Can work with all levels of employees and diverse groups
  • Can advise or present issues clearly and concisely
  • Can produce deliverables and manage multiple pressing needs in a fluid setting
  • Understand the current digital tax landscape and can help develop tax requirements
  • Scale and process-oriented with demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and carefulness
  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel (knowledge of pivot tables)
  • Experience in an ERP environment: NetSuite/SAP/Oracle ( a plus )
