We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to help build and improve our financial and analytical reporting tools. Your contributions will fundamentally impact the business processes, results and overall efficiency of both finance and operations. This position will be responsible for our international P&Ls and departmental budgeting & reporting with heavy emphasis on OPEX forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Process efficiency improvement and housekeeping: The role will be ever mindful of the need to implement strong processes and improve the efficiency of the existing processes to support our growth; monitor expenditures versus forecasts and budgets; conduct periodic reviews of financial results, understand key variances to plan
  • Work cross functionally to ensure accurate reporting on all financial metrics and key performance indicators
  • Proactively develop key financial analysis and insights to help enable the company to meet its monthly, quarterly and annual targets, and strategic objectives
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators for Opex accounts
  • Understand and communicate financial results and trends to management, and recommend appropriate course of action when results differ from plan
  • Monitor current performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Manage multiple data sources to ensure data integrity and quality of data for OPEX reporting. Partner with business partners to ensure alignment of reporting through reconciliation, troubleshooting and resolving OPEX variances
  • Supporting management team and departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis as needed

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Able to translate financial analytics into clear and insightful recommendations for business stakeholders
  • Naturally curious to discover different approaches to challenging issues
  • Takes on problem solving with a positive attitude and is self-motivated to complete challenging tasks
  • Experience working for a larger tech company preferred
  • 3+ years of finance or operational experience
  • BS in Finance or Accounting preferred, MBA a plus
  • Strong Excel skills working with large data sets are a must
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical and system skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Strong financial reporting skills are a must
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally

  • Systems knowledge with either: Netsuite, TM1/Cognos, Anaplan, Oracle
  • Previous Tech/Start up experience
