About the Role
Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment. The video engineering group provides high-quality video streams to end-users, while also continuing to improve features that add value, improve operational efficiency, and improve delivery costs. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Manager, with excellent architectural and management skills to lead the Video On Demand (VOD) team for an exciting new product. You use your experience building motivated organizations and scalable processes to help scale engineering and ensure that large projects with complex components are delivered. You work with engineers on your teams, and cross-team with product, operations and leadership. You ensure that the VOD product stays stable and scales indefinitely and new features are delivered. You have spent 10+ years as a hands-on engineer building complex systems, and 3+ years leading a team of engineers to do the same. the role, the team it belongs to and the position that the candidate will report to))
You Will:
- Knowledge of Distributed Systems, Cloud computing, SaaS delivery
- 3+ years of hands on management experience, with experience keeping accomplished teams motivated
- 10+ years of hands-on development experience building complex systems.
